The conference held from June 26th to 28th 2013 was a historic occasion for the WFSF as it marked the 40th anniversary of the federation's founding in Paris in 1973. The conference theme was 'Global Research and Social Innovation: Transforming Futures'. This brought together futures researchers, policymakers, administrators and students who exchanged on global, regional and local futures. The Program included a variety of keynote, plenary and parallel sessions, panel discussions, open spaces and shared meals.
